Anna M. Davis

Anna Davis passed away on August 22, 2026 peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her family. Anna was born on June 28, 1932 in Somerville, MA to Gennaro and Maria Cioffi. She was the youngest child having three older brothers, now deceased, Gennaro, Carlo and Vincent. She was known for her feisty spirit, quirky sense of humor, love for family and a caring heart. She was always willing to give to others despite her own limited means.

Anna always took great pride in the details of a job done right – or don’t do it at all! She worked as a bookkeeper in Needham for a number of years before moving to Onset where she worked for the Town of Wareham in a number of capacities for nearly 20 years. Some of her favorite past times were raking cranberries in the bogs of Wareham, crafts, poker, bowling and spending time with family and friends. Those closest to Anna knew she enjoyed an occasional Cape Codder cocktail, as a tribute to her beloved husband Bill with whom she enjoyed them before dinner on summer nights.

Anna is predeceased by husband William (Bill) Davis and her youngest son George LaValle. She will be lovingly remembered by her children; son, Donald LaValle of Mansfield, MA, daughter, Anna Dixon and husband Bradford Dixon of Bellingham, MA. Her grandchildren; granddaughter Kimberly Kosmenko Jain and husband Ashish Jain of Boulder, CO and grandson, Bryan Kosmenko and his partner Patricia Saster of Whitinsville, MA.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Friday August 28th, in the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. from 4:00 – 7:00pm.

A Memorial service will be held on Saturday August 29th at 10:00am, also at the Oteri Funeral Home.

Interment will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Wounded Warriors, The American Heart Association or your local food pantry in Anna’s name.
