Obituary

Ann Marie (Betts) Thornton 79, a former Franklin resident, died Friday July 30, 2010 at the Medway Country Manor Nursing Home, following a long illness. She was the wife of the late Francis F. Thornton, who died in 1995.
Born in Boston, March 16, 1931 a daughter of the late Carl and Ethel (Gates) Betts, she was raised and educated in Boston.
Mrs. Thornton was a retired homemaker and enjoyed hiking, travel, cooking, Italian food, and was loved, and will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her son; Frank F. Thornton of San Diego, California, a sister Shirley Shore of Rockport, and 1 granddaughter.
She is also the mother of the late Jeanne Thornton-Fraser.
