Amanda S. Allard

Amanda Susan Allard, 45, of Bellingham and a former resident of Franklin & Hopedale, passed peacefully on Friday, October 30, 2026, at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston after a long period of declining health. She was surrounded by her loved ones.

Amanda was born on April 29, 1981, in Framingham to Russell and Susan Allard. She was the eldest of three siblings, followed by her sister, Heather, and brother, Russell Jr. Amanda spent her early years in Franklin before moving to Hopedale, where she grew up and graduated from Hopedale Junior-Senior High School. She briefly attended Northeastern University and later took courses at Dean College.

Amanda worked as an event planner and previously worked at Del Frisco's in Boston’s Back Bay and at Coach Grill in Wayland. She also spent years working in the hospitality industry at local restaurants, including Arcos, Alicante, Prezos, Peppercorns, Pipinelle's/3 Restaurant, and Lowell's, where she became well known to her customers. Regulars loved her quick wit, warm smile, and ability to tend bar while experimenting with new creations.

Amanda loved the beach and organized group weekends and girls' trips whenever possible. She spent many summers on Martha's Vineyard with friends and lived there briefly while working at The Chowder Company. She enjoyed eating oysters with her mom, sister, and niece, Ava, whom she adored and with whom she shared an incredibly special bond.

Amanda was extremely creative and loved bringing her craft bin along to keep the little ones in her life entertained. She organized an annual Santa's Brunch for the children of family and friends and participated in holiday fundraising for The Home for Little Wanderers. Her generosity knew no bounds, and she never arrived anywhere empty-handed.

Amanda loved to cook, bake, and create beautiful charcuterie boards. She was incredibly social and truly enjoyed going out to eat and grabbing a drink with friends. In the summertime, she could often be found at country music concerts or at Fenway Park and Gillette Stadium, rooting for her favorite Boston sports teams. She always looked forward to making football picks with her dad on game day.

An avid animal lover, Amanda especially loved dogs. More recently, she became a cat mom when she adopted Kevin, whom she cherished.

Amanda was incredibly loyal, generous, loving, quick-witted, hardworking, and considerate. She took great pride in the close friendships she had built over the years, many of which spanned decades. She cherished her family dearly and especially valued the time she spent living with her Nana in her home in Franklin.

Amanda is survived by her father, Russell Edward Allard, of Bellingham; her sister, Heather Allard, of Uxbridge; her brother, Russell Allard Jr, of Bellingham; and her niece, Ava Olivia Allard. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins;her loving Godparents William “Chub” Stegemann and Jeanette (Scully) Finnell; and many very special friends.
