Obituary

Mrs. Alma Louise (Belanger) Brown, 79, of Ft. Walton Beach, died Sunday, January 27, 2008, at the Emerald Coast Nursing Home, following a long illness. She was the wife of Russell J. Brown.

Born in Pascoag, March 25, 1928, a daughter of the late Leo and Ida (Ingrham) Belanger, she was raised and educated in Pascoag, and had lived in Florida for many years.


She loved reading, and enjoyed country & western music and Texas Hold Em Poker.


Surviving in addition to her husband of 61 years are 2 sons: Richard A. Brown of Franklin, David L. Brown of N. Providence, Rhode Island; 2 daughters: Cathy Robinson of Texas, Stacy A. Meader of Florida; a sister Shirley Hesketh of Naragansett; 9 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.


She was also the grandmother of the late Stephen Locke-Rowley.


Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours at the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home, Thursday February 7th, from 4 - 8 PM. A service will be held immediately following at 8PM. Private interment will take place in the family lot in Little Greenville Cemetery in Smithfield, Rhode Island.
