Obituary

Alan F. Hughes, (85) of North Attleboro, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 23rd.

Alan was born in Boston on October 12, 1939, the son of the late Henry and Esther Hughes. Survived by his loving wife of 46 years Rose Markarian Hughes, and his three sons Karl and his wife Susan of Sagamore Beach, MA; Kenneth and his wife Denise of Plymouth, MA and Keith and his companion Holly of Denver, Co. Alan was preceded in death by his brother Jeffrey Hughes.

Through grade 7 he attended Heath School in Brookline and grades 8-12 in Wellesley schools graduating (1957), Huntington Prep (1958) and Babson College (1961). He began a 35 year career as Accounting Manager at Northrop Grumman Corp in Norwood, MA retiring in 1995.

Alan was an avid Boston Bruins and Patriots fan. He enjoyed old country music especially rockabilly, as he loved to play the guitar. He was an avid golfer, movie watcher and listening to the 50's and country music. He loved to travel to the islands of Bermuda and especially Aruba.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Friday, November 29th at 11:00 AM from the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage Street followed by a funeral service at St. John's Episcopal Church, 237 Pleasant Street, Franklin at 12:00 PM.

Burial will follow at Union Street Cemetery, Franklin.
